Sidharrth Nagappan

I am currently a graduate student at the University of Cambridge's Computer Laboratory. While I was an undergraduate student at Multimedia University, I worked with Assoc. Prof Dr. Wong Lai Kuan and Assoc. Prof Dr. John See at the Visual Information Processing (ViPR) Lab on multi-stream emotion analysis. I also did a stint at Monash University, where I worked on depression analysis and speech processing under the supervision of Assoc. Prof Dr. Anuja Dharmaratne and Dr Lim Chern Hong.

Before my move to Cambridge, I was a Data Engineer at MoneyLion, where I built big data infrastructure, data lakehouses and streaming pipelines for rapid, scalable and real-time data processing. You might know me as the co-founder of Sambal SOS, the open-source aid data crowdsourcing platform built at the peak of the pandemic in Malaysia.

And before all of that, I graduated from Multimedia University with first-class honours, at the top of my class, with the Permata Award.
